The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
